World Pancreatic Cancer Month — November 2025

No one should face pancreatic cancer alone.

Pancreatic Cancer Ireland is fighting for better survival rates, better care, and better support for every person and family affected by this disease.

Community support for pancreatic cancer patients

"An Ireland where everyone with pancreatic cancer survives and thrives."

Our Mission

Unapologetically demanding better.

We refuse to accept that pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest cancers in Ireland. We work with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and researchers to demand better pathways, better treatment, and better outcomes.

Our Objectives

Four pillars of change.

Raise Awareness

Educating GPs, healthcare professionals, and the public about the signs, symptoms, and urgency of early diagnosis.

Advocate for Better Care

Amplifying patient voices to demand better referral pathways, treatment standards, tumour profiling, and a national screening programme.

Provide Support

Funding hospital-based nurses, counselling services, and online resources for patients, families, and support networks.

Fund Research

Supporting a national Biobank, patient surveys, clinical trials, and a national database to drive better treatment and outcomes.

4,500+
People diagnosed in Ireland each year
12%
5-year survival rate — one of the lowest
70%
Are diagnosed at a late, advanced stage, when the cancer has grown silently and potentially curative surgery is no longer an option

Together, we can change these numbers.

Whether you've been diagnosed, you're supporting someone you love, or you want to help fund the fight — there's a place for you here.
